Colliers International took out top honors at the DEXUS Property Group's Excellence in Agency awards on Friday night (10 September), collecting both Industrial Agency of the Year and Transaction of the Year.
The 17th annual awards recognise agent performance on the leasing and sales transactions successfully completed on behalf of DEXUS Property Group during FY10.
Colliers International was recognised for the lease managed by National Director of Industrial, David Morris, to Symbion Pharmacy Services at DEXUS's Quarry Industrial Estate at Greystanes.
Malcom Tyson, Colliers International Managing Director of Industrial, says the results are a clear testament to Colliers International's delivery of service excellence and quality solutions to accelerate the success of its clients.
"Our national industrial team has become skilled in bringing lateral ideas to our clients to create outcomes in the current ever changing market conditions," he said.
"In dealing with DEXUS in particular, we feel their success can be attributed to their level of professionalism and responsiveness, and the confidence they provide to the incoming tenant by way of delivery of a quality finished development. With respect to the Greystanes property it was terrific site that was benched and ready for construction, which was another stand-out attraction to prospective tenants."
Presenting the Transaction of the Year award to Mr Morris, Paul Say, DEXUS Property Group Chief Investment Officer said "David introduced Symbion Pharmacy Services to our Greystanes Estate for a pre-lease of 17,300sq m, a high quality use and covenant over a 15 year term which aligns well with the estate vision.
"This lease constituted our second development on the estate and was achieved despite a challenging pre-lease market during the year."
Assessment of the awards is based on the number, size and quality of the transactions completed as well as the level of professionalism, innovation and overall service provided in either an individual transaction or by an agent or agency throughout the year.
